What We Believe

Statement of Faith

Eagle’s Nest International Church is a Biblical based church committed to proclaiming truth in a broken world and fulfilling the directives that Jesus left for His church. We believe the following Statement of Faith to be the primary doctrines guiding this church.

There is One God in three Persons. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. (John 8:42, John 14:16)

God created all things in heaven and earth for His purpose, nothing is here by accident. (Colossians 1:16)

The Holy Bible is the inerrant Word of God written by holy men who were chosen by God. (2 Peter 1:21, 2 Timothy 3:16)

Jesus Christ, God’s only Son came to earth from heaven born of the Virgin Mary. He taught and showed us by example how to live. He was beaten and bruised for our sicknesses and diseases. The price for our peace was paid. The blood of Jesus Christ paid for ALL our sins. Jesus went to hell and took the keys to death and hell from satan. He spoiled ALL principalities and made a show of them openly. On the third day after his death, He arose from the grave and was seen by His disciples and well over five hundred others. Jesus ascended to heaven where He is now SEATED at the right hand of God, our Father. The only way to be saved is to believe in your heart and confess with your mouth what Jesus Christ did for us on the cross at Calvary over two thousand years ago. (1 Corinthians 15:54-58, 2 Corinthians 5:17-18, 1 Peter 1:21-23, Hebrews 9:12-15)

The Holy Spirit is out Teacher, our Comforter and our Counselor. In order to be a witness, Jesus told the disciples to wait in the Upper Room until they received power from the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:4).

Today, more than ever, we need the person of the Holy Spirit to help us be the best witness we can be. Only through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit can we effectively minister to the deep needs and situations of people. (Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 2:10-13, 1 Corinthians 3:16, Mark 13:10-11, Acts 4:8-11, 1 Peter 1:12)

We believe in the gift of speaking in unknown tongues (Acts 2:4, Acts 8:18). This gift is to edify the believer, to build each of us up in our most holy faith and to pray the perfect prayer when we do not know how to pray. (Ephesians 6:18-19, Jude 1:20)

We believe in water baptism as a symbol of our desire to follow Christ. This is an issue of obedience, not a means of salvation. Salvation is a gift to us by our belief and confession in Jesus Christ as the Son of God who shed His precious blood and dies for us. (Acts 8:15-16, Romans 6:4)

We believe in the rapture of the church of Jesus Christ which is the believers. Jesus will descend with a shout and the voice of an archangel, and we will instantly be changed. We will go with Jesus to rule and reign forever. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18, 1 Peter 1:4)

We believe there is a real devil (satan) and demons who purpose to kill, steal and destroy human beings. (1 Peter 5:8, Ephesians 6:12-17, Colossians 1:13, Colossians 2:15)

We believe that every Christian needs to be in fellowship with other believers. (Colossians 3:16-17, Colossians 4:6, 11) Christians are instructed to edify one another, embrace one another and pray for one another. As recorded over and over in the book of Acts, the believers continuously met for prayer, encouragement, teaching, sharing and eating meals. (Acts 2:42, 46, Acts 20:7)

Evangelism is a major thrust of our church. As the Holy Spirit fills us and refines us, the overflow will be a constant outpouring of His love, mercy and grace. There will be no program, but an inherent application of His outpouring in our lives. In addition, we expect miracles, signs and wonders to follow us. In Luke 10:19 Jesus said that He gave us power over all the power of the enemy. Hebrews 10:14 says, “For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.” Also, Colossians 2:10 says that you are complete in Him. In Mark 16:17-18 Jesus said, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” Jesus said we are to go into all the world and preach the gospel in Mark 16:15. As a body, we send and support missionaries as mission trips are an essential element to every believer’s walk with the Lord.

We believe there is always hope for every person. In 1 Timothy 1:12-15 Paul called himself, “the chief sinner.” We know that God’s will is for all to come to a knowledge of the truth. He does not desire for one to be lost (2 Peter 3:9). This ministry helps equip people to become established in His purpose and grace for their lives. We are a watering place for those who are seeking, weary and thirsty. This church is also a ministry of exhortationand encouragement to many ministers and followers of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Missions are a very  important part of our church. We encourage each person to get involved in mission trips to other parts of the world. This expands one’s vision for the need of the gospel to go to all the world.

ENIC has made an impact in Nigeria where we helped financially to build a school; in Kenya where we supported a home for unwanted children for three years as well as helping financially to build a kitchen; in Haiti where we helped financially to rebuild a church destroyed in the recent earthquake;  in Cuba where we helped Touching Your World Ministries take computers to pastors; in India where we have helped a local pastor build other churches in rural areas; and in Belize where we have financially supported Touching Your World Ministries as they purchased and begun building a church, education center, homes, and medical and dental building in a very poor area.

Supporting missions is the very heart of ENIC and we encourage our members to go on mission trips to expand their ministry gifts and realize how important each person is in the Kingdom of God.
