Our God is a miracle working God. In order to operate in the Gift of the Working of Miracles we must understand some basic spiritual truths and principles.
We must BELIEVE God wants you to operate in the gift. Jesus said "If you believe you will see the glory of God" We have to believe in the supernatural power of God and that all things really are possible. It doesn't matter how long a person has been sick or how bad it looks in the natural, we must BELIEVE for miracles. We must "Ask in Jesus' name" according to John 14:13 and 14. Jesus tells us that in THAT DAY (which is NOW) you will ask anything in my name and I will do it!
We must understand that the Holy Spirit ENABLES us to flow in the gift, He is the power source!! We cannot go on how we feel, or think, or what we KNOW!! It is not ABOUT YOU !! IT IS ABOUT THE POWER OF GOD FLOWING THROUGH YOU!!- Prayer- Jesus is our example and He lived a life of continual prayer, continual communication with his Father. We must have this communication and fellowship with God. Very simply put, talk to God!
- Faith- This is a key to living in the Kingdom of God. We must operate by faith because the Bible says we cannot please God without it! Jesus could do no miracles when faith was not present, and you can't either.
- Speak- We cannot think miracles! We must speak to the situation. Jesus told us to speak to the mountain and it would be removed and cast into the sea. Jesus continually spoke to the individual to stretch a hand forth, or bend down, or stand up, or be whole!! Jesus always spoke what He wanted to see happen and this is how miracles come forth. Remember God spoke the world into existence, He didn't think light!
- Obedience- This is a two way street in that the person receiving the miracle must do what you tell them to do, i.e., stretch that hand, move that leg, rise up and walk . Also, you must do what the Holy Spirit tells you to do and say. It doesn't matter how corny it seems, you must be obedient to the voice of the Spirit as you help someone receive a miracle.
Paul was born into a wealthy family and he was named after king Saul. He learned the Law and was a Pharisee. He hated Jesus as Jesus broke all the Laws he worked so hard to learn and live by! Saul participated in the stoning of Stephen and he murdered many Christians. He had gotten special papers from the Priest to go into the synagogues to pull out Christians and have them killed. He was on the road to Damascus and he was knocked off his donkey. Jesus asked him why he was persecuting Him? Saul was blinded and had to be led into town. Through this he accepted the Lord and got baptized in the Holy ghost and spoke in tongues. In Acts 19:6 we see he is operating in the gift of working of miracles powerfully. In Acts 28 we see Paul was a prisoner now for preaching Christ and healing the sick! He lived in the middle of the Kingdom of God and lived in total faith in God. In Acts 27 you see that his prophetic gift was overlooked. He told the people they should not go on the ship as there would be great danger. However, the people listened to the captain of the ship and ignored Paul. They had a rough voyage and the ship was wrecked. They arrived on the island Malta, and the heathen were king to them. However, as Paul put wood on the fire, a snake bit him and held onto his hand. The heathen men were astonished that Paul didn't drop dead, and his hand didn't swell. Paul took authority of the snake and SHOOK IT OFF!! If you feel like a prisoner as Paul was, and your gifts are ignored and then a demon or viper attacks you, SHAKE IT OFF and GO FORTH into your destiny!! Now is your hour, elect of God SHAKE IT OFF and GO FORTH. Paul was taken care of by the people on the island. The king of the island met Paul's needs because Paul had healed his dying father! This is how God wants us to operate in the Kingdom of God. Don't allow being a prisoner, being ignored , and ship wrecked , and then being attacked by a viper hold you back. With the power of the Holy Spirit, shake it off and jump further into the Kingdom of God by operating in the Working of miracles! |
